Lorraine Wilde is a freelance journalist, social media manager, environmental scientist, special needs paraeducator, and dedicated mom. She’s published articles at WhatcomTalk.com, in Entertainment News NW, the Whatcom Watch, and Parent to Parent of Whatcom County.

Her essay, Finding My Way, appeared in the anthology Easy to Love But Hard to Raise: Challenging Kids, Real Parents, True Stories by DRT Press in Feb. 2012.

In addition to freelance writing since 1998, Lorraine has been an activist, scientific technical writer, and educator for 17 years. She earned her Master’s degree in Environmental Science in 1995 from Western Washington University’s Huxley College of the Environment and her Bachelor’s from University of Puget Sound in 1992.

She manages social media for her acting and writing careers, as well as for her favorite band, Baby Cakes, and the community organization, Bellingham Film. Lorraine also appears regularly in Bellingham theatres and local film projects.
